The Poetic Factory
The Poetic Factory, driven by Villa Arson in Nice and École de Recherche Graphique in Brussels, continued the collaborative spirit and dynamic cooperation initiated between the two institutions. It focused on the projected practices of poetry and literature within an exhibition space conceived as a microcosm of the social realm—a place for sharing, negotiation, and experimentation.
Focusing on word, texts, and images—but above all on their plasticity, uses, imaginations, and applications—the Poetic Factory aimed to create an alternative utopian declaration devoid of rights and duties, a multi-European creation free from stylistic constraints, featuring augmented images, polylingual gestures, sounds, and dialects. Hybridizing the practices of declarations of rights with the tradition of artistic manifestos, this factory developed a real-time network of scenes and sounds that closely aligned with the students’ experimental work.
