The Faculty of Theater and Film of Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca is a multicultural academic institution with a very good reputation of education, excellence in research, active student life and opportunities for collaboration with partners outside the university environment. It is one of the most important art faculties in Romania in the field of Theatre and Film and Media which offers programs that combine practical training of students with theoretical training in programs designed to serve diverse artistic orientations and career paths. The courses offered are focused on developing imaginative and creative thinking, perfecting performance skills, artistic expression, historical and theoretical knowledge of the field, and the ability to use classical, experimental and alternative theatrical techniques to create innovative artistic productions. A hallmark of the pedagogical approach is to encourage students to explore the relationship of performing arts to current social and cultural practices and to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration with departments, faculties and performing arts institutions at home and abroad.
