Within a concrete ‘20th-Century Heritage’ building, perched upon the lake’s verdant left bank on the forest’s edge facing the mountains, our art and design students are at work. ESAAA is a buzzing hive whose life is set to the seasonal rhythm of the higher schools of education. The institution is a platform for perpetual exchanges mixing artistic and technical studios, classrooms, a library, a ‘fablab’, a garden, etc. Within this special spacetime, students, instructors and researchers together prepare dozens of projects for multiple contexts, structures and territories of local, national and international scale. This community constructs situations and invents objects and methods, it strengthens and questions their subjectivities, and it learns to identify issues, which it deconstructs to then rebuild. Everyone here equips themselves to actively participate in the worlds to come.

ESAAA, the Experimental School of Art Annecy Alps is a public institution of higher education that seeks to contribute to a prospective art and design, resolutely turned towards the future, without neglecting its rich roots.

– Undergraduate studies: DNA Art & Design (Bac+3 / Licence / BA degree)
– Master studies: DNSEP Art – ‘Monstre‘ Master’s & DNSEP Design – ‘Terrain‘ Master’s (Bac+5 / Master / MA degree)

The ESAAA community was happy to participate to two editions of the EuroFabrique project: the 2022 edition in Paris, France and the 2023 edition in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
