ENSCI-French national institute for advanced studies in industrial design
Founded in 1982, the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI-Les Ateliers) is the only state school in France dedicated exclusively to industrial creation and design. Created with the aim of breaking with traditional academic models, the school is inspired by the spirit of the Bauhaus and Black Mountain College, placing creation at the center of industrial concerns.
ENSCI-Les Ateliers stands out for its innovative teaching methods, based on project-based learning and individual pathways. Students learn by experimenting, iterating and navigating uncertainty, while developing a socially responsible approach to design.
The school offers two master’s degrees in: Textile Design and Industrial Creation, and enjoys national and international recognition.
The school offers a doctorate in design supported by the Centre de Recherche en Design (CRD), a partnership between Université Paris-Saclay and ENSCI-Les Ateliers.
The Lifelong Learning Programme (FTLV) offers three Specialised Masters: Creation and Contemporary Technology, Sustainable Innovation By Design and Nature Inspired Design.
Under the supervision of the Ministries of Culture and Industry, ENSCI-Les Ateliers is a leading player in the field of design
