Europe The Musical
The primary objective of the film was to capture the essence of EuroFabrique and its projects through a comedic lens, taking the form of a “mockumentary,” a fictional documentary approximately 5 minutes in length. The students utilized characters and the dramatic context of the series Parliament, aired on France Télévision and directed by Emilie Noblet and Jérémie Sein, to create a mini subplot set during EuroFabrique merging fiction with reality, and balancing comedic absurdity with a nuanced depiction of the vibrant artistic energy of European youth. The film was largely shot on February 7 and 8 during EuroFabrique and edited immediately to be ready for release on February 10 at the Grand Palais Éphémère.
Synopsis: Samy Kantor, the main character of Parliament, is tasked by his MP with working on the European Union’s latest cultural project: a musical comedy designed to enhance the popularity of the union. His quest for inspiration and new talent leads him to the Grand Palais Éphémère, where EuroFabrique is taking place.
