Listed as a remarkable building of 20th century architecture, Villa Arson belongs to a network of ten public national schools of higher education in the arts under the supervision of the ministry of culture in the field of visual arts.

A legal entity of Université Côte d’Azur, Villa Arson offers two degrees: the Diplôme National d’Art (DNA), equivalent of a Bachelor degree and the Diplôme National Supérieur d’Expression Plastique (DNSEP), equivalent of a Master degree. Since 2019, it has been implementing a practice-based PhD in Arts in collaboration with Université Côte d’Azur. Approximately 220 students are enrolled in its “Arts” department encompassing a wide range of techniques and practices.

Villa Arson’s curriculum is open to the international art scene, encouraging exchanges and projects with professionals in the field. The training program gives pride of place to international experience, through interaction with leading figures from the art world invited throughout the year, internships and international research and creation workshops.

In-depth collaborations are established with institutions that meet students’ specific production and research needs, and are recognized worldwide for the quality of their educational offerings.

Villa Arson is also an establishment for artistic production and dissemination through its international program of exhibitions and residencies.

The Villa Arson school of art, contemporary art center, artists’ residency and research library form a unique ecosystem dedicated to supporting young generations of artists towards professional practices, presenting original artistic visions and facilitating critical exchange with an international perspective.
